Live-action shooter Rogue Company has removed all DLC Dr Disrespect

Rogue Company has removed all mentions of Dr Disrespect from the game.

The free-to-play multiplayer shooter, which was heavily promoted by Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm, hadn’t been updated in over a year.

But just weeks after news broke that Beahm had sent sexually explicit messages to a minor via Twitch, developer First Watch Game and publisher Hi-Rez Studios updated the game to remove all content affiliated with the streamer.

The studio has confirmed that its £30/$40 Dr Disrespect premium pack has been removed, along with the Dr Disrespect skin and Arena map that were dedicated to Beahm. The map will no longer be playable from public or private playlists.

“We have disabled the Dr. Disrespect content that was previously available in the game,” the developer said. “We will be issuing a full refund to any affected accounts this week.”

While generally approving of the removal, some players have hit back at the studio, stating that they should get their money back in full, not just an in-game currency credit.

Last month, new information came to light regarding Twitch’s ban of streamer Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm in 2020.

Beahm made headlines again a few weeks ago, when Twitch’s former director of strategic partnerships Cody Conners said that an anonymous person had been banned from the streaming platform after being caught sending sexually explicit messages to a minor. Subsequent reports confirmed that the person Conners was referring to was indeed Beahm, something many had already suspected.

A former Twitch employee – who chose to remain anonymous – also revealed that the minor informed Beahm that he was a minor, and Beahm allegedly continued to send him “sexually explicit” messages regardless.
