LinkedIn co-founder and executive chairman Reid Hoffman is supporting President Biden amid calls to replace him on the Democratic Party ticket.
Hoffman expressed support for the president’s re-election campaign in an email sent to friends Friday night and widely reported in the media.
The DNC insider acknowledged that Biden’s disastrous debate performance “certainly dealt a major blow to the mood among donors and organizers” but placed the blame on the public who cared more about “the slowdown in movements and speech” of the president than of the “dementia” of former president Donald Trump.

Following Thursday night’s presidential debate, there was much discussion regarding the possibility of swapping Biden for another candidate.
Hoffman said any campaign to pressure Biden to resign would be counterproductive, saying Biden is a “resolute fighter” and that public criticism could “force the Bidens to try to prove the doubters wrong.”
The LinkedIn president said Democrats must learn from the MAGA movement’s response to Trump’s criminal convictions, urging them to close ranks around Biden and remember that “fundamentals matter much more than one debate » during the election.

“I followed Biden’s rally in North Carolina this afternoon. It was forceful and brutally effective in putting an end to Trump’s vitriol and lies,” Hoffman wrote in the email. “I wish I had that Biden last night, but that’s the nature of Joe Biden.”
Shortly after the debate concluded in Atlanta, a firestorm erupted with rumors that Democrats would replace Biden as their party’s nominee for the 2024 election. presidential election.
A well-connected Democratic source told Fox News after the debate that the House and Senate are Republican – for now, adding that “everyone is panicking” and Biden “needs to go.”

Former Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Democrat, said in an appearance on MSNBC after the debate that Biden “failed” to show Americans that he was “up to the task at his age.”
The talk that Democrats are weighing their options for who will be the party’s nominee for president was also amplified by John King, CNN’s chief national correspondent, who said after the debate: “Right now, As we speak, there is a broad, deep, and very aggressive panic within the Democratic Party.”
Despite rumors of replacement among Democrats, California Governor Gavin Newsomwho many experts have touted as a possible replacement for Biden if things go south for Democrats ahead of the 2024 election, insisted that “the party’s nominee is Joe Biden.”
