Limited is also relaunched and the brand is full of 90s goodness

The nostalgic part of me loves how many things from my childhood are making a comeback, like oversized sweatshirts and biker shorts as chic attire. But more than that, I love how much the ’90s and early ’90s have carried over into current kid trends. I have three daughters, so being able to dress them in the same kind of tank dresses, ribbed tees, and daisy prints I wore gives me such a burst of joy. Which is why I’m so excited to hear that Limited Too is officially back — and I don’t mean I love having a limited-edition rack of the brand somewhere. The entire brand has been relaunched with activewear, activewear, ready-to-wear, and more — all of which will officially be available online on July 12 and can be purchased at Kohl’s stores.

And since all those Y2K styles are making a comeback for our kids, Limited Too is leaning heavily into those vibes — which means the outfits look pretty much exactly like you remember. Originally founded in 1987 as an offshoot of the Limited brand, Limited Too has always kind of bridged the gap between little girls and tweens — that super sweet pre-teen stage that involves lots of butterflies and smells like an overabundance of fruity body spray. It’s a stage in my own life that I remember really enjoying, and I’m really looking forward to my girls reaching that age where they start to feel more in control of their lives, have their own opinions and ideas, and always want to dress in fun, bright clothes that make them feel good.

Plus, how much fun will it be if my kids’ middle school pictures are virtually indistinguishable from mine?

It’s like jumping in a time machine, isn’t it? Limited Too’s current head of design was also part of the brand’s original design team, so there’s a great cohesion that I love. Limited Too is not only a brand that brings back the 90s, it was definitely a brand that we recognized even when we were young. It had a distinctive style and character and I always felt very “cool girl” shopping there, while I think my parents appreciated that the clothes were always age appropriate. (And affordable.)

The scrunchies, the bows, the mini checked backpacks. Everything is so good. There will be tons of accessories available when Limited Too officially launches in stores on July 12, and the brand plans to branch out into items like swimwear in the near future. Current collections include the Heritage Collection, Cozy Collection, Dressy Collection and Accessories. Prices will range from $8 to $40, with approximately 80 items available.

All we have to do now is convince the brand to create matching mom looks.
