Lidia Thorpe tries to storm the stage as Kellie-Jay Keen aka Posie Parker speaks in Canberra

Lidia Thorpe has been forced to the ground by police after she tried to disrupt British trans critic Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull’s speech at the Let Women Speak rally outside Parliament.
The former Green turned independent senator from the ‘black sovereignty’ movement claimed she was ‘pulverized’ by police as she tried to storm the stage while Keen-Minshull, also known as Posie Parker was talking.
She criticized the decision to leave Keen-Minshull, who she called “dirt”, in the country or speak on indigenous land.
Keen-Minshull traveled across Australia to address protest marches in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart – sparking fierce counter-protests by pro-LGBTQI activists.
She stood alongside One Nation senators Pauline Hanson and Malcolm Roberts to deliver a speech at a rally outside Parliament in Canberra on Thursday, which was attended by both trans critics and more than 100 pro-trans protesters.

Senator Thorpe attempted to storm the stage where Keen-Minshull was speaking before being intercepted by police and forced by officers on the ground.
Ms Thorpe, who was holding an Aboriginal flag during the chaos, quickly walked away as officers tried to lift her.
She stormed back towards the large group of pro-trans protesters.
As rain poured down on Canberra, hundreds of anti-Posie protesters flooded the Keen-Minshull ‘pro women’ rally, separated on the Houses of Parliament lawns by two dozen police officers.
Demonstrators antagonized pro-trans protesters by holding up signs reading “tomboys are not boys”, “protest the innocence of children” and “libraries are for books, not for perversion”.
Slogans include ‘bigots in the bin’, ‘f*** off Posie f**k off’ and ‘you’ve got Nazis on your side’
Some of those gathered told Daily Mail Australia it was the first time they had protested, spurred mainly by Keen-Minshull’s “hateful” rhetoric. on his national tour of Australia this month.

Simon, 23, said he ‘couldn’t bear to know she was in my town’, not even deterred by the gray skies and pouring rain.
“A bit symbolic, I think,” he said.
In the background, those who gathered around him chanted ‘f***k off’, at one point having to be restrained by police as they tried to move forward.
Across the lawn, pro-women protesters jeered and danced, taunting the crowd as Keen-Minshull spoke about the ‘gender crisis’ unfolding in Australia.
“It’s the next lobotomy scandal except this time we’re doing it to the kids,” she claimed.
Her voice was drowned out by the sound of musical instruments and teasing, but those who gathered to support her still clapped and clapped as she vowed never to stop the fight for women’s rights.
“We say the things that we are sometimes afraid to say in our real lives without caring what people are saying around us,” she said.
“I have to have a fucking police escort from the airport because I said women don’t have penises.” It’s revolting.

After Ms Thorpe’s attempt to disrupt Keen-Minshull’s speech, the former Greens senator blasted the decision to let the controversial speaker into the country.
“We don’t tolerate this kind of filth happening in Ngunnawal and Ngambri country, let alone the Nazi support these people have,” she said.
“They are racist, they are homophobic, they destroy people’s lives. This country should be ashamed that they even let people like that into this country.
“I went to tell him they’re not welcome here, and I got sprayed by the police just telling that person they weren’t allowed to be here.”
“I was assaulted by the police today as a female ruler Gunnai, Gunditjmara, DjabWurrung and the police must answer for the assault but this government must also answer why these people are allowed to enter the country.”
