Lena Dunham Reveals She’s Related to Larry David

Lena Dunham could be the voice of her generation – or a generation – but this news left her speechless.

After all, the Girls the designer discovered that she was distantly related to Calm your enthusiasm Creator Larry David.

“No! My husband will panic”, Lena, married to a musician Luis Felber—said on the April 2 episode of PBS Finding your roots. “This is the hottest information I could have gotten.”

The host of the ancestry show, Henry Louis Gates Jr.explained that the 37-year-old shares at least one common ancestor on her mother’s side with the 76-year-old, as shown by their “several long identical DNA segments.”

“I couldn’t have turned the page and been more thrilled,” Lena exclaimed. “It’s amazing. You saved the best for last.”

And fans of the TV creators won’t be surprised by their distant relatability. After all, Lena has earned multiple Golden Globe nominations (and one win), as well as eight Emmy nominations for her writing, directing, and starring work in Girls.
