Legendary classic rock musician cancels tour after falling ill on the road

Legendary musician Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse have canceled the remainder of the band’s first tour in more than a decade after band members fell ill while on the road.

“The Love Earth Tour has been a great experience for us so far. GENERAL PUBLIC AND MUSIC. WE HAD A FUN,” read a message posted Wednesday on Young’s website.

“When some of us got sick after the Pine Knob in Detroit, we had to stop. We’re not fully recovered yet, so unfortunately our big tour is going to take an unplanned big break. We will try to play some of the dates we missed over time when we are ready to start rocking again,” the post continues. “We know many of you have plans to travel and we apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and patience. »

The Love Earth Tour kicked off April 24 in San Diego, California, for two nights before expanding to other stops in several U.S. states and Canada, according to the tour’s website.

The band’s July 25 shows in Bend, Oregon, July 26 in George, Washington, July 29 in West Valley City, Utah, and several shows in Canada have all been canceled, according to Ticketmaster. The July 31 show in Greenwood Village, Colorado is also canceled, according to AXS.

Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster and AXS should be refunded within 30 days, the two ticketing sites said.
