LeBron James will turn 40 in the middle of the upcoming NBA season, and his agent and close friend Rich Paul revealed how much time he thinks the Lakers superstar has left in the league.

James hasn’t shown many physical signs of slowing down, averaging 25.7 points last season, which is good enough to rank 13th in the NBA.

Still, with son Bronny, 19, possibly joining the NBA, and James’ contract status, a lot is up in the air for one of the greatest players of all time.

Paul revealed on the “All the Smoke” podcast that he thinks James still has five years left in the NBA “body-wise.”

Mentally, Paul thinks James’ remaining capacity is a bit shorter, estimating “2-3 years.”

The Lakers’ season ended in the first round of the playoffs, losing to the Nuggets in five games.

Paul was last seen in public with famous singer Adele at a Lakers game against Denver.

Paul has been dating singer Adele for over two years, with the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer all but confirming that the couple are now married last year.

James will have a No. 22 season in the NBA and he had until June to make a decision on next year.

He can either opt for a $51.4 million contract, the second year of a $99 million deal he signed before this season. Or, James can become a free agent and possibly play for a fourth NBA team.

James’ offseason will be busy, helping Bronny with his next move, which could be a return to college or an entry into the NBA with his father.

James was also one of a dozen players called up to the U.S. Olympic team this summer in Paris.
