Leaders were looking for any excuse to banish President Donald Trump

Elon Musk’s Twitter posted another round of internal threads on Friday night, which revealed that the social media company’s executives established the “framework” to ban Donald Trump’s account before the events of Jan. 6, and used the Capitol riots as an excuse to finally blacklist the president. The goal of left-wing leaders is clear in statements such as “the narrative that Trump and his friends have been pursuing in this election and frankly for the past 4+ years must be heeded.”
The documents posted to Twitter by journalist Matt Taibbi are the third posting in what are known as the “Twitter Files” and the first posting of documents relating to President Trump’s January 2021 account ban.

THE DISPLACEMENT OF DONALD TRUMP
First part: October 2020-January 6— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 9, 2022
In a lengthy Twitter thread, Taibbi explained that internal Twitter communications between January 6 and January 8, 2021 suggest that even employees of the social media company understood that the decision to censor a sitting US president would have historic impact. .
“Is this the first sitting head of state to be suspended?” a Twitter user asked in internal communications.
After banning Trump, Twitter executives seemed to relish their newfound power and even flirted with the future banning of official @POTUS and @WhiteHouse accounts, but ultimately decided that the accounts “will be handed over to the new administration in due course. and will not be suspended”. by Twitter unless absolutely necessary.

Regarding why they banned Trump’s account, a Twitter executive said in an internal chat: “the narrative that Trump and his friends have been pursuing during this election and frankly for the past 4 years and more must be taken into account”.
In his Twitter feed, Taibbi pointed out that the “intellectual framework” to ban Trump’s account was already set before Jan. 6, suggesting that the Capitol riots were simply their excuse to finally do what they had always wanted. TO DO.
“Most of the internal debate leading to Trump’s ban took place during those three days in January. However, the intellectual framework was laid in the months leading up to the Capitol Riots,” he said.

In addition to these revelations, Taibbi also released several damning internal documents regarding Twitter executives communicating with federal agencies during the 2020 presidential election.
Internal conversations via the Slack messaging program revealed that Twitter executives “appreciate the intensified relationship with federal agencies,” Taibbi said.
“I’m a big proponent of schedule transparency. But I got to a point where my meetings got…very interesting…to people and there weren’t meeting names that were generic enough to cover up,” he said. ex-Trust and Safety Twitter manager Yoel Roth said in an internal conversation.
“Very boring business meeting that’s definitely not about Trump :),” Roth continued, before adding, “DEFINITELY NOT a meeting with the FBI, I SWEAR.”

Other internal documents suggest that the FBI, DHS and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) met with Roth about the New York PostThe story of Hunter Biden’s bombshell laptop, which Twitter – and Facebook – infamously censored during the 2020 presidential election.
“We blocked the NYP story, then we unblocked it…and now we’re in a mess where our politics are in shambles, communications are angry, reporters think we’re idiots,” he said. complained Roth in an internal conversation. “In short, FML [Fuck My Life].”
21. Roth’s report to the FBI/DHS/DNI is almost wacky in its self-flagellating tone:

“We just received a report from the FBI regarding 2 tweets,” another internal Twitter chat read.
