Lay’s classic crisits remember the highest risk level by the FDA

The Food and Drug Administration called on its recall of the conventional Lay Croustilles at the most risky level.

On December 16, Frito-Lay issued a recall for 6,344 bags (13 ounces) of classic Lay potato cristers, according to an alert issued by the FDA. The fleas were distributed in various stores and online points of sale in Oregon and Washington, with customers capable of buying snacks from November 3, 2024.

Lay’s classic croustilles were the only ones included in the recall, and they were distributed in two states: Oregon and Washington. No other product, flavors, sizes or varieties packs are involved.

On January 27, the FDA intensified recall at the highest risk level, class I, which means that exposure or consumption of the product could cause “serious unfavorable consequences for health or death”.

Why are Lay’s Croustilles recalled?

Chips can contain unsuccessful milk, Frito-Lay said after being informed by a consumer.

“Those who suffer from an allergy or a serious sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or fatal allergic reaction if they consume the product recalled,” said the FDA on December 16.

The fries have received the higher level classification because milk is one of the eight “main food allergens” of the FDA, which means that it is one of the products that can cause hives, rashes, Cramps, dizziness, vomiting and / or diarrhea, swollen vocal cords, difficulty breathing and even unconsciousness among those who are allergic.

No allergic reaction in connection with the recall has been reported, according to Froto-Lay.

The chips recalled are in flexible bags of 13 ounces distributed in Oregon and Washington with the UPC 28400 and 31041 codes. 6463307XX.

Anyone who is allergic or sensitive to milk should not eat the fries and throw the affected bags.
