Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop Return to ‘Gilmore Girls’

Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop trade Friday night dinners for celebratory lunches.

THE Gilmore Girls The stars celebrated their recent reunion by posing for a selfie that Graham posted to his Instagram account on Friday.

In the fake family photo, Graham, who plays wild child Lorelai Gilmore, wears a blue blazer, striped top, sunglasses and bucket hat, while Bishop appears to be embodying her character Emily Gilmore with her black jacket, sunglasses and sparkling jewelry. Unfortunately, the third Gilmore Girl, Alexis Bledel, who plays Lorelai’s daughter Rory, is missing from the picture.

Graham captioned the post: “Here’s to the ladies who lunch.”

She and Bishop starred opposite each other in all seven seasons of the Amy Sherman-Palladino dramedy, from 2000 to 2007, and later reprised their roles in the 2016 Netflix reboot of the series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the LifeTheir portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship was one of the most hilarious and realistic on-screen depictions of this dynamic, with the family members frequently switching from antagonism to mutual defense at any given moment.

It turns out the couple isn’t the only member of the Gilmore Girls actors who recently reminisced about their time in Stars Hollow. Keiko Agena revealed this week that she thought her GG Lane Kim’s character is still in love with her first love, Dave Rygalski (Adam Brody).

“As rock & roll as she claimed to be, I think she would be pretty honest, but I think there’s a certain romantic sadness about that relationship,” Agena said E! News“Maybe a few daydreams. I don’t know if she would act out, but a friendship for sure.”
