Samantha Power, the administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, told lawmakers that conditions in Gaza are “as dire as any I have seen in my career.” Three sons of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh were killed in a strike in Gaza, Hamas and the Israeli Defense Forces said. Haniyeh said several of her grandchildren were also killed.
