Reporting from Jerusalem
With less than half an hour before the start of the ceasefire, Israel is still awaiting the names of the three hostages who are expected to be released today, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
According to the ceasefire agreement, names must be provided at least 24 hours before the planned exchange, which is supposed to take place today after 4:00 p.m. local time.
The statement said Netanyahu asked the Israeli military not to continue preparations for a ceasefire until the list of names was received.
The location of the hostage exchange was also unclear last night, with the Israeli military preparing three separate possible locations near the border with southern, central and northern Gaza.
