LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Peter Bogdanovich, director of “The Last Picture Show” and “Paper Moon,” has died at the age of 82, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Thursday.

Bogdanovich’s daughter told THR her father died Thursday morning of natural causes at her Los Angeles home.
The director’s iconic 1971 film, The Last Picture Show, won eight Oscar nominations.

Bogdanovich’s honors for the film’s nominations included directing and screen adaptation.
Cloris Leachman and Ben Johnson won supporting awards for the film.
