Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin sent “Star Trek” star William Shatner to the edge of space on Wednesday, and the actor spoke fondly of the experience upon his return.
Shatner spoke with Bezos after he landed, where he was torn apart as he reflected on what he described as a profound experience.
Video footage showed Shatner describing his experience at Bezos, when Bezos turns to a nearby group and says, “Give me the bottle of champagne. Come here. I want one.” Shatner stops speaking and scratches his head, shows the video.

Bezos then says he still wants to hear Shatner’s story, saying, “I want to hear this.”
He offers champagne to Shatner, who refuses, and Bezos then vaporizes the champagne to the cheers of the group, while Shatner still has his hand on his head.
The footage also shows Shatner backing up and turning away as Bezos continues to vaporize the champagne, and Bezos then turning to put his arm on Shatner:
Shatner had described his trip to the edge of space to Bezos as “the deepest experience.”
“I’m so filled with emotion about what just happened. It’s amazing. I hope I never get over it. I hope I can maintain what I feel now. don’t want to lose it, ”he said.
“It’s so much bigger than me and life. It has nothing to do with little green men… It has to do with the enormity and the speed and the suddenness of life and death. “
It’s not clear whether Shatner said these things before or after Bezos asked for the champagne.
