A Sacramento man suffered painful cuts and bruises after being repeatedly hit with paintballs last Friday.
The attack took place while Edson So and his wife were outside in southern Sacramento around 12:30 p.m.
The suspects reportedly walked down Hitchcock Way and turned onto Valley High Drive. So I hope the shoot was captured on a surveillance camera.
“It hurts. My lip and neck were mostly the worst part ”, So tell CBS13 about his injuries.
He has since reported the incident to police and hopes to see witnesses come forward.
The attack comes amid a wave of anti-Asian incidents across the country, just ahead of United States of America and Pacific Islands Heritage Month.
It is therefore not known if he was targeted for being Asian, but he has since been on high alert.
“I just want to let them know that eventually you know someone might be hurt or you know the cops might find them and they’ll be in big trouble about it.” he told CBS13.
Last Thursday, a Vietnamese restaurant in the city that has been vandalized throughout the COVID-19 pandemic made headlines after receiving a big tip.
“Every time he repairs the window, it’s only a matter of days before it breaks again” wrote a Twitter user @CaroWyn_, whose uncle owns the Tây Giang restaurant.
A customer allegedly placed a tip of $ 500 on top of his $ 35 meal and included a note saying: “To help with the broken glass.”
