New Delhi: Lok Sabha Chairman Om Birla on Monday instructed all parties not to bring placards inside the house.

“I will ask all parts of the house that placards are not brought inside the house. If placards are brought by MPs, then I will not listen to the government or the opposition and I will surely take measures. I am giving them the last chance,” Om Birla said.

Birla revoked the suspension of four congressmen, after party leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said the opposition had no intention of hurting the president. Members of Congress were suspended last Monday for the remainder of the session for protesting and carrying signs inside the House.

The suspension of Manickam Tagore, Ramya Haridas, TN Prathapan and S Jothimani was revoked after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi tabled a motion to that effect, which was approved by the House.

After the suspension was revoked, the House began a discussion on the price hike which was initiated by Congressman Manish Tewari.
