Lamar Odom says it would be a ‘blessing’ to be friends with ex Khloé Kardashian

Lamar Odom shares his hopes for his relationship with his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian.

During an appearance on The Kyle & Jackie O Show On Monday (January 20), Odom revealed what led to his recent reunion with his ex-wife. Explaining that he met Kardashian’s best friend, Malika Haqq, in Las Vegas last year, Odom said she suggested the exes meet up.

“(Malika) came up to me, she said, ‘Lamar, I think it’s time for you and Khloé to (meet),'” he shared. “It’s been years. You haven’t seen her. If you’re up for it, I think I can make it happen.

Fans got a sneak peek right now in a trailer for the upcoming season of The Kardashianswhich showed the NBA alum visiting Kardashian with roses in hand.

“I went there, and there were cameras there and I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ It’s cool, I get it, you know,'” he explained, adding, “So much time has passed and people have changed. I think for the best.

Odom and Kardashian have had a rocky marriage. They married in 2009 after only a month of dating, then decided to split in 2013 after Odom’s cheating scandal and drug relapse. The Good American co-creator didn’t officially file for divorce until 2015 to support Odom after his near-fatal overdose earlier that year, but their split was finalized in 2016.

“It would be a blessing to be her friend,” Odom noted on the radio show, later answering questions from the hosts about whether or not he had any lingering feelings for Kardashian.

“You’re still in love with her,” co-host Kyle Sandilands said. “Do you want to be with her or not? Do you want her to come back? You can admit it.

“I don’t care. I think it’s healthy,” Odom responded. “I think it’s healthy sometimes to like, you know, move on. You know, in a healthy way. Like I said, it would be a blessing to just be a friend, just to be with her.

Khloé’s sister Kim Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner were just as shocked as fans to learn of Odom’s re-emergence, with the preview of the scene showing them emotional.

“Honestly, I think timing is everything,” Khloé confessed to the couple in the clip. “You’ll never believe who I met.”

“WHO?” » Kim asked as a man’s foot could be seen sticking out of a car.

“This is insane,” Kim continued as Odom walked into someone’s house with a bouquet of red roses.

In her confessional, Jenner began to cry, saying, “He was the love of his life.”

Khloe then said, “I don’t know this person anymore,” before the “mom” said she was “devastated for (her) child.”

The segment also hinted at a reconciliation between Khloé and Lamar, ending with Khloé shouting to her family, “It’s the truth.” The truth hurts once. A lie hurts 7,000 times over.
