Lamar Jackson launches into expletive-laden speech as Raven’s season ends

Lamar Jackson couldn’t hold back his frustration with himself as he spoke to reporters after the Ravens were eliminated from the playoffs in a 27-25 loss to the Bills.

The Ravens failed to continue their season thanks in part to a dropped two-point conversion by tight end Mark Andrews, as well as several costly turnovers that really irritated Jackson on Sunday.

The Ravens quarterback fumbled in the second quarter, allowing Von Miller to recover the ball and return it to the Baltimore 24-yard line and set up a touchdown that broke a 7-7 tie of the AFC Divisional Round game from Highmark Stadium.

Warning: adult language

Jackson also threw an interception in the first quarter with the game tied at seven.

The second fumble came in the fourth quarter when Andrews had the ball knocked out of his hands after making a 16-yard catch that would have put the Ravens in Buffalo territory.

“Whenever we find ourselves in situations like this, turnovers play a role. Penalties play a role,” Jackson said while addressing his own need to retain the ball. “Tonight, the turnovers, we can’t have that and that’s why we lost the game. As you can see, we move the ball wonderfully, it’s (just) about holding the damn ball. I’m sorry for my language, but it’s boring. I’m sick of this shit.

The frustration was surely palpable on Jackson’s part as the star quarterback saw another season end without a title.

The Ravens made the playoffs in six of Jackson’s seven seasons with the team, but have only advanced past the divisional round once — last season, when they lost to the Chiefs in the conference title game – during this period.

Jackson completed 18 passes Sunday for 254 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

The Ravens QB rushed for another 39 yards in the loss to the Bills.

Jackson also commented on Andrews’ tough day – not letting all the blame fall on the star.

“We’re a team,” Jackson said. “…It’s not his fault. We’re not going to put this on Mark.
