New York-Los Angeles Lakers opted for a change of wardrobe on Saturday before playing on the biggest basketball scene, Madison Square Garden.
It had to carry its uniforms “City Edition”, with “Lake Show” sewn through the chest, against the New York Knicks. However, after falling at 1-9 this season in these alternative uniforms after Tuesday’s defeat in Philadelphia, the players of Lakers decided to carry their purple and black uniforms “edition”.
“I just hope that we wear assorted jerseys and matching shorts,” said Lakers coach JJ Redick, joking before the match. “I don’t care about the color of the jerseys.”
The team is expected to wear Lake Show seven times after Saturday after Saturday. A source of Lakers told ESPN that the team would reassess its uniform schedule during the stars break.
