The Los Angeles Lakers beat the New York Knicks on Saturday, then concluded one of the most shocking offers in the history of the NBA.
The team sends Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a first round choice to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Dončić, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris in a team agreement that also includes Utah Jazz, according to Shams Charania in Espn.

The news of trade was so shocking that many Charania accounts could be hacked, but journalists from both Los Angeles Times And the Dallas Morning News quickly confirmed it. There was no prior indication that one or the other team sought to advance their All-Star.
The agreement escapes Davis for Luka Dončić as a co-star of LeBron James, although it is more precise to say that Dončić will be the long-term star. Dončić is currently absent with a calf injury, but has made NBA’s first five consecutive teams at 25. Lakers faced a potential slide in the coming years as James and Davis have aged, but that changes everything.
As for the Mavericks, they leave a player whom their fans did not expect to leave, and they do not seem to receive much beyond Davis, a player who can produce at both ends of the soil but has rarely succeeded as offensive focal point team.
