Lainey Wilson admits she pretended to be Miley Cyrus at kids’ birthday parties!
Before he was a country music star, Lainey Wilson lived the best of both worlds.
In fact, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer shared that she’s not just a fan of Miley Cyrusbut she was acting as a Disney alum during the Hannah Montana era.
“I love Miley Cyrus, I used to pretend to be Hannah Montana when I was little,” Lainey told E! News in front of the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on April 7. “I did that for about five years. That was my job in middle school and high school.”
The country singer’s talent for impersonating Miley has also helped her own career.
“Every weekend I had birthday parties, fairs, festivals, St. Jude’s Day, all that stuff,” she continued. “I would play the lead role of Lainey Wilson in ‘Hannah Montana’.” (See all the stars on the red carpet here and more information on the 2024 CMT Music Awards at E! News April 8.)
Naturally, given her history, Lainey also shared that her favorite song so far Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter is “II Most Wanted” because of the singer’s feature film “Flowers”.
And Lainey may have started out as an ordinary girl, but she certainly now lives in an extraordinary world.
