Kylie Jenner is reportedly “shaken and embarrassed” after the launch of her latest Kylie Cosmetics campaign. The promo, titled King Kylie, debuted over the weekend and quickly drew criticism, sparking online debate over its perceived “tone-deaf” approach.

“She thought it would break the Internet,” a close source said. “Kris knows that outrage drives engagement. She doesn’t care if it’s love or hate: attention equals sales.”
In the clip, Jenner is seen handcuffed by two police officers in a “glamorous” prison hallway, wearing a black leather top, matching micro shorts, silver hip chains, translucent black tights and black pointy-toe pumps.
“She trusted her mother’s instincts — and it backfired,” a friend of Jenner’s said. “She’s furious that Kris turned her brand into a meme.” Although the campaign’s visual approach has divided opinion, those close to Jenner say she is taking the response seriously and considering the impact on her brand.
Hollywood insiders, however, remain confident. “She’s already making it a redemption arc,” a marketing executive said. “If there’s one rule in the Kardashian playbook, it’s this: Even bad press can make you richer.”
On Monday, October 13, Kylie shared a new promotional clip on social media for the relaunch of her King Kylie collection. The mogul also announced her musical debut, featured on pop duo Terror Jr’s track “Fourth Strike,” which is included in the promo.
“FOURTH STRIKE! TERROR JR FT KING KYLIE TONIGHT 9PM PT @terror.jr!!” Jenner wrote in an Instagram post showing her in a black convertible.
In a separate update, she announced the return of her cosmetics line, captioning a video, “GLOSSES PART DEUX: KING KYLIE RETURNS.”
