The Olympic struggle champion Kyle Snyder was one of the more than a dozen people arrested as part of a prostitution bite in Ohio.
Columbus police led an operation to reduce prostitution in the city on Friday, and Snyder, 29, was arrested in a hotel room for participating in prostitution. He was released from guard at the scene.
Columbus police spokesperson Caitlyn McIntosh said the police had published online advertisements last week to “request other people to get into sexual activity for rental”. The police said that a man later identified as Snyder had responded to one of the publications and had organized himself to meet in a local hotel. Once there, he paid money from an infiltration agent and asked for sexual services. Police said 15 other men had been caught in the bite. Snyder should appear in court on May 19.
