Kyiv struck by a Russian missile attack, a targeted foreign television

A Russian missile attack struck the Ukrainian capital in kyiv early Sunday morning, injuring at least three people.

A Russian ballistic missile has partially destroyed a housing building in the state chains broadcast in foreign languages, a television channel mentioned by AFP said on Sunday.

“On April 6 during the night, a Russian ballistic missile strike on kyiv caused a significant destruction of buildings housing the editorial offices of the Ukraine -State foreign broadcasting company,” the Freedom Television Channel said in a statement, adding that its editorial room in the building was destroyed.

The missile strikes struck Darnytsky, Solomiansky and Obolon districts, causing fires and causing urgent responses to medical teams, according to a Ukrinform report.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported the situation on his telegram channel.

“A medical team is on the way to respond to calls in the Darnytsky district,” said Klitschko. He also noted that the missile attack on Kyiv remains in progress.

Later, Klitschko updated that the doctors had also been sent to the Obolon district. “The medical teams are on the way to the Obolon district after calls for help,” he confirmed.

Timur Tkachenko, head of the kyiv City military administration, added that fires had been reported in Darnytsky and Obolon districts due to the enemy attack. “The rescuers are already on the way,” said Tkachenko on Telegram.

According to Vitali Klitschko, debris fell in two places in the Obolon district of the capital in the territory of non -residential buildings.

Later, the mayor said that the blow had also taken place in the Solomiansky district and that there were victims in the Darnytsky district.

“Fires have been recorded in Darnytsky, Solomiansky and Obolon of the city’s districts. There are victims in the Darnytsky district. Doctors and other services are on the scene,” Klitschko reported.

The mayor said the debris landed in two places in the kyiv Obolon district, affecting non -residential buildings.

The missile attack was preceded by an enemy drone attack, and the air defense forces operated in kyiv and the region.
