Kristin Davis ghosted by actor after lending her $5,000

Kristin Davis forgives, but she doesn’t forget.

The “Sex and the City” actress, 59, revealed Sunday’s episode of her “Are You a Charlotte?” podcast to guest Sarah Wynter that she was once ghosted by an actor after lending him $5,000.

“I once dated this unemployed actor. I think it was before “Sex and the City”, maybe between “Melrose (Place”) and “Sex and the City”, or maybe when I was on “Melrose”. I don’t know,” Davis said, noting that the unnamed actor is “very successful now.”

“He was very talented,” she continued, “but, at the time, I had money because I was working, and I was at his house and he had all this, ‘your electricity goes be cut off’, like all those notices you get when you can’t pay your bills They were all over her house, weren’t they?

“And I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then I think he destroyed his motorcycle, like he was driving into town for his auditions. And I was like, “Can I lend you some money?” “

Davis said his offer was “a horrible mistake.”

“Anyone who listens to you, don’t lend anyone the money you’re dating,” Davis warned, which Wynter — who appeared in the first episode of “SATC” — agreed with.

“Don’t do it,” Davis added. “It doesn’t end well. This really pissed me off.

The “And Just Like That” star said her good deed “changed the dynamic” of her relationship with the mystery man “in a really horrible way.”

“It was more of a casual thing. I probably should have known,” Davis said. “But I was just like, ‘I can help. I should help this guy. He’s so talented,” which he is. I lend him money. I think it was $5,000 total. So I lent him that money and then he stopped calling. I’m like, “What’s going on?” “

Davis remembers showing up at the man’s apartment and “knocking on the door.” She heard her dog inside and wondered, “‘Is he in there and is he pretending he’s not in there?’ »

“And then later he called me and said, ‘Did you come to my house and knock on my door?’ And I was like, ‘Well, yeah.’ I felt so embarrassed, like I was a mess.

Wynter, 51, told Davis she “had every right” to be angry with the actor, and joked that she would have to get the money back “with interest.”

“I would love just some recognition or something, which is kind of a fantasy,” Davis explained, as Wynter encouraged him to return to knocking on his door.

“He lives in the country with kids, so I don’t think I want to run there,” Davis said with a laugh.

“You live and you learn,” Wynter noted of the situation, as Davis admitted, “I can’t say that was the last time I did it. I think next time was the last time.

Davis has never been married. She dated Aaron Sorkin in 2012 and was romantically involved with Alec Baldwin and Rick Fox.

In 2011, she adopted a daughter, Gemma Rose.
