The Red Sox plan to bounce back on Saturday after their attack was silent in the Globe Life Field on Friday evening.
Boston suffered a 4-1 defeat against the Texas Rangers despite a solid outing of Tanner Houck. The lack of production of Rafael Devers was the story of the night, but he and the manager Alex Cora noted that he was far too early in the season to care.
Instead, the Red Sox will turn the page with Walker Buehler to make his debut in Boston. On Saturday marked the first time that the right -hander would be in a competition match since the closure of match 5 of the World Series 2024. He hoped to give the Red Sox a competitive season after spending most of last season to recover from Tommy John surgery and a hip injury.
Buehler will have a different defensive alignment with Carlos Narváez as a receiver. David Hamilton will also make his debut of the season, taking the second goal, and Kristian Campbell will start in the left field. Jarren Duran moves to Center Field with Ceddanne Rafaela by femblling.
The first field at Globe Life Field is scheduled at 7:05 p.m., and you can attend a full coverage on Nesn after an avant-match hour.
