Kristen Lee Gutoskie first shares the conversation with “Octomom” Natalie Suleman

In fact, Kristen – who welcomed her first child, a son, in June 2023 – said she and Natalie were able to connect thanks to their shared experience to be mothers.

“It is a human being who, at the end of the day, a mother and apparently a very good mother,” she continued. “She has incredible children – 14 children who are prosperous and charming and intelligent and beautiful. So yes, I connected with her. We have discussed many things, especially maternity. I have the impression that I could not have played this role if I did not become a mother recently. I have already played moms, and I could understand in my nourishing instincts a way to draw into the role. I don’t think you need to be a mother to play a mother. However, something about it really helped me understand it. »»

And she hopes that viewers will be open to understanding one side of Natalie – who also became a grandmother last year – it’s different from the one they read online.

“Everyone is a whole human, and there is much more to each person than what is in the headlines,” said Kristen. “Natalie has had so many decisions and experiences shared in the film that you probably could not see in the public’s eyes. So I think yes, there is more to everyone than probably shared in the media. And also that we can overcome anything, and this family is such a wonderful thing to push us. »»
