Krafton India unveils the first cohort of BGMI Rising Stars 2025, to empower the next generation of Indian talents – Firstpost

Krafton India Esports unveiled the first BGMI Rising Stars 2025 program during the BGIS Grand Lan finals in Kolkata. They chose 8 young Talents Esports, including Sauma Raj and Samihan Kulkarni, with a vision of shaping the future of the Indian game.

Kolkata: In a historic moment for Indian Esports, Krafton India Esports on April 25 unveiled the inaugural cohort of the BGMI Rising Stars 2025 program, a flagship initiative aimed at identifying and feeding the next generation of play icons in the country. The announcement was made during the opening day of the BGIS Grand Lan Finals 2025 in Kolkata, one of the biggest stages of the Indian competitive games, where 16 of the country’s best teams are fighting for a 3.2 -crore.

The BGMI Rising Stars program is more than a simple showcase of talents, it is a complete development platform, designed so that young Esports athletes develop, evolve and settle as traditional game personalities. The eight selected athletes represent not only the excellence of the game, but also the potential to inspire a new wave of budding players across India.

In particular, among the eight, Sauma Raj and Samihan Kulkarni, obtained a remarkable feat not only by being named rising stars but also for the BGIS Grand Finals. Their trip underlines the rising tide of young talents which already begins to shape the competitive landscape.

Speaking on occasion, Karan Pathak, associate director – Esports, Krafton India, said: “BGMI Rising Stars 2025 is a celebration of passion, potential and the future of Indian esports. It is not only a question of identifying the talents, it is a question of supporting it with intention, of helping them to become the next big names of the industry. ”

The program will offer these players growth opportunities supported by deep integration into Krafton Esports plans. Participants will also receive dedicated technical support to improve their performance and raise their gameplay, ensuring that each rising star is equipped with good tools, advice and the environment to really prosper.

“For young athletes, it is not only recognition; it is validation”. “To be named a rising star and also play in the LAN final, that’s something I dreamed of,” said Samya Raj. “This initiative is exactly what Indian esports needed – it makes you believe a little more in you.”

Samihan Kulkarni echoes the feeling, adding: “This platform is a Gamechanger. It is worth it, and now I just focus on the best party of this opportunity.
