Indianapolis (AP) – With the New York Knicks, leaning on the edge of a third consecutive loss in the playoffs and Jalen Brunson stayed on the bench with five faults after three quarters, Karl -Anthony Towns took matters into his own hands.
The Knicks needed everything he could bring together – even on a painful knee.
Towns scored 20 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter while New York has erased another 20 -point deficit, and Brunson helped close the 106-100 victory on Sunday evening to take match 3 of the Eastern Conference final – which in fact three consecutive victories for the road team.
“It’s a real test when you lower more than 20 years,” said Towns. “Tonight was the kind of night he had to have this attitude without die.”
New York is still dragging in the 2-1 series with match 4 for Tuesday evening in Indianapolis.

Brunson’s lay-up with 7:10 to play finally gave New York an advance of 89-88 and New York has only dragged the rest of the night. The Knicks never led by more than four before the last free throws with 2.6 seconds to play. Brunson finished with 23 points despite most of the night in big problems.
“They put me in superb places to succeed, and I just wanted to capitalize on the opportunity,” said Towns after also taking 15 rebounds. “We are all trying to do everything you need to win, get back in the game. We wanted to put ourselves in position where at the end of the game, we ended up with a chance to win.”
Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 20 points and six assists. Myles Turner added 19 points while Indiana fell to 0-4 all time when Playing the same day as Indianapolis 500 was executed. Two of these losses came to the Knicks.
Team managers distributed gold and blue t-shirts with the words “Vroom Baby” to celebrate the rare pacers and double-headed runners, and the winner Alex Palou from Spain. Has the short hike through the city where it received in the second quarter-while Indiana began to retire to an advance of 55-35 at the end of the first half. But after having rallied twice compared to the fourth quarter deficits to take the first two games in New York, and losing his best defender, Aaron Nesmith, with a right-wing ankle in the third quarter, Indiana failed to seal this one.
Nesmith returned to the fourth quarter, but coach Rick Carlisle said that he couldn’t know about the chances of Nesmith to play match 4 before Monday.
“No matter who is there, we must be able to attack better and do things to maintain it and finish the game,” he said. “We just didn’t do it as well as we need it.”
