Nova Knicks will not have their former coach behind the bench in New York.
Jay Wright is not a candidate to fill the Knicks head coach position, Stefan Bondy of the post reported on Saturday.
President Leon Rose understands that Wright, who led the last time in 2022 in Villanova, is happy to be retired.
This leaves a name on the list of knicks as they seek to replace Tom Thibodeau after his shot Earlier this week.
After Wright’s news broke, Josh Hart, a former Wildcat, wrote on X: “Dude thank you. Stay retired!” With an emoji laughing before marking Wright’s account.
