Knicks fans revel in wild Game 2 win outside MSG in unreal scene

Euphoric scenes erupted outside Madison Square Garden after the Knicks scored a shocking Game 2 victory against the 76ers, which included scenes of costumed fans crowd-surfing and ecstatic supporters already eagerly awaiting a possible final game of the Eastern Conference.

Crowds of fans spilled onto Seventh Avenue after a wild sequence in the final 40 seconds of the game gave the Knicks a 104-101 victory in their opening round Monday night.

In one video, fans were singing and jumping in unison right outside MSG’s main entrance.

The video also shows Knicks fans chanting “Go New York, Go, New York, Go” in an ode to the popular Knicks theme song.

In another, fans could be heard chanting “DiVincenzo,” after Donte DiVincenzo made a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final seconds of the playoff contest.

As if the crowd wasn’t excited enough, a costumed fan could be seen crowd surfing while fans around the individual chanted “Knicks in four.”

The video also showed the costumed fan and another person dressed as Spiderman dancing among a crowd of Knicks fans in front of MSG.

The Knicks hold a 2-0 lead for the first time in a playoff series in over a decade.

But the two straight victories even had Knicks fans looking ahead and chanting “We want Boston” outside Madison Square Garden after Tuesday’s victory.

The Celtics are still early in their own series with the Heat, although they have a 1-0 lead.

The series moves to the hostile Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Thursday.

“It was very loud in there,” DiVincenzo told reporters after the game about the atmosphere inside Madison Square Garden.
