Difficult faults occur. Bad faults occur. But what happened Tuesday evening between the Grizzlies and the Hornets was difficult to look at. Jaylen Wells stood up for a first half’s breakup dunk when the KJ Simpson Hornets recruited it before, taking out his legs and crashing on the ground.
Look at the room here, but warning that it is a frightening fall. Update: Wells was released from the hospital and has a broken wrist.
Jaylen Wells falls hard on his front of his head after the dunk and a dunk. The medical staff rushes for their help, then evacuate it.
During the referee’s review, KJ Simpson’s fault was upgraded to a flagrant penalty 2 and he was ejected from the game.

It was immediately clear that things were bad. Wells was clearly commotion, and the medical team was worried about a possible neck injury when it was extended from the arena and taken to a local hospital.
The players prayed, Simpson looked completely distraught because he obviously did not want to injure Wells, but either he got caught up in the moment when he could not stop when he was running at full speed. A recruit error, although the worst type of error imaginable.
Fortunately, Wells is largely well. He supported a concussion and a broken wrist on the game which will end his 2024-25 season – but there was no injury to the spine or deadly injury, as was the initial case.
Dourings overnight, Simpson went to social networks to apologize for the fault and to send wishes to Jaylen Wells.
My prayers are with @Jaylen_Wells I know that we have already talked about and that we are good friends, but again, I just wanted to express not only for J but also to his family how much I am deeply sorry. I would never deliberately make any voices to anyone. I’m just extremely sorry

Especially with talent J is. I know it will be special and just from the many times our paths have crossed, I am lucky to know that he is an even better person with an incredible story. I just wanted to say more sorry to J and his family, I can’t say enough

I know that the blessings of God will not stop here and other blessings are in store for J. Send love and continuously praying for a quick reinstatement brother

Simpson apologies well accepted.
A lot of love brother thank you

You could clearly see that Simpson was concerned about the security of Wells. He had a bad game in the heat of the moment, but nothing about this was malicious.
Wells posted this photo of him in the hospital still in his NBA jersey. The worst case was fortunately avoided.
I hope that Wells will have a quick and uncomplicated recovery and that we can see it again soon in the field.
