In a statement at the time, the palace said the king would step down from public duties but would continue to handle state affairs and administrative formalities.
In the first substantial update on his health since then, Buckingham Palace said on Friday that he would “return to public duties shortly following a period of treatment and recovery following his recent cancer diagnosis”.
The King and Queen Camilla, Buckingham Palace said, “will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment center next Tuesday, where they will meet specialist doctors and patients.”
