Kim Kardashian Launches 3 Spring Hair Changes in 72 Hours

Spring is a time of rebirth. Everything is becoming new: Trees are blooming with a new set of leaves, East Coasters are swapping out their winter wardrobes for lighter layers, and if you’re Kim Kardashian, you’re changing your outfit in a big way.

However, ever the maximalist, the Skims founder hasn’t mixed things up once. She debuted three drastic hair changes in 72 hours.

On Thursday, Kardashian joined Vice President Kamala Harris for a panel discussion at the Second Chance Month event. For the occasion, she exuded boss energy in a classic black suit that complimented her long, natural, dark brown tresses, which she wore down and straight with a middle part.

Two days later, while attending the Homeboy Industries Gala, Kardashian took the glamor up a notch in a sweeping black faux fur coat by Balenciaga and luxurious diamond earrings. To up the ante even further, she showcased a completely different hair look: an icy blonde, her lightest shade in years. Kardashian showed off her near-white hue in an updo with a face-framing strand left aside.

The reality star’s hairstylist, Chris Appleton, gave a glimpse into how he lightened her locks to platinum. “We wanted to keep the root short and the blonde cool and creamy. I colored it in a few sessions to keep the integrity of the hair nice and juicy,” Appleton wrote in an Instagram caption.

But Kardashian and Appleton still had one more transformation in store. For her latest look, she channeled her little sister, King Kylie, with bubblegum pink locks that still kept her dark roots. But that wasn’t the only change.

Kardashian also opted for a big chop. The mom of two shared photos of her colorful bob, which she styled slightly wet and tousled. She paired it with an equally daring ensemble consisting of a skintight black turtleneck sweater and matching tiny shorts. She finished the outfit with grungy black leather thigh-high boots, featuring built-in knee pads, a stiletto heel and an elongated pointed toe, courtesy of Balenciaga.

Kardashian’s vibrant pink hair arrives just in time for the Met Gala, which has seen her captivate with many bold looks over the years. In fact, her hair had people buzzing at last year’s event, when, in a controversial move, she and Appleton lightened her hair to platinum in back-to-back bleaching sessions, which can damage the hair.

The world will just have to wait until the first Monday in May to see what she comes out with next.
