The head of North Korea, Kim Jong one, sentenced a “serious accident” on Thursday during the launch of a new warship, calling it “criminal act” which could not be tolerated.
Certain parts of the depths of the 5,000 -ton destroyer have been crushed, making an imbalance between the ship, reported the state media.
Kim, who was present at the launch, ordered that the ship was restored before a key game meeting in June, and for the people involved in the design of the ship to hold responsible for the incident which, according to him, “seriously damaged the dignity and pride of our nation in an instant”.
State media reports have not mentioned any victim or injury following the incident.
Kim awarded Thursday’s accident, which took place in a shipyard in the eastern port city of Chongjin, to “absolute negligence, irresponsibility and non -scientific empiricism”.
He added that the “irresponsible errors” of the people involved will be treated at a plenary meeting next month.

Kim had described the “breakthrough” warship in the modernization of the country’s naval forces and said that it would be deployed at the start of next year.
