Kidnapped teen beaten with baseball bat for 12 hours, then thrown on the road, New York cops say

An upstate New York teenager was kidnapped and repeatedly beaten before being dumped on the side of the road hours later, police said.

Three people were arrested and charged.

The victim, a 16-year-old girl, was attacked by three people at a home in Malone, a village near the Canada-US border, on the evening of Friday, Dec. 9, according to a Dec. 12 press release from the Malone Police Department.

The suspects, aged 26 to 30, beat the girl for 12 hours, police said. They hit her with a metal baseball bat and poured Clorox, a brand of household bleach, on her, according to the press release.

After the assault that lasted for hours, the victim, who had significant injuries, was placed in a vehicle and then left along a road in freezing conditions in nearby Bangor, police said.

She then drove to a home in the city and the occupants dialed 911, police said. EMS staff took her to the hospital.

After interviewing the victim at the hospital, Malone Police and New York State Police arrested two women and a man in the assault.

The three suspects, who all resided in Malone, have been charged with first-degree assault and kidnapping, police said.

The investigation remains open and further arrests are expected, according to police. Contacted by McClatchy News, a spokesperson for the Malone Police Department declined to provide further details.
