Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, Underwood, More

Carrie Underwood will be joined by artists including Kid Rock, the Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean and more over the weekend and Monday as part of Donald’s inauguration events Trump in Washington, DC.

Trump Vance’s inauguration committee revealed the lineup, confirming that Underwood will participate in the official inauguration ceremony on Monday, making Trump the 47th president of the United States. Underwood will sing “America the Beautiful” on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, with tenor Christopher Macchio singing the national anthem and Greenwood also performing.

Trump is expected to take the oath of office at noon ET.

Greenwood will also participate in Trump’s Make America Great Again victory rally Sunday starting at 3 p.m. ET at Capital One Arena in Washington, joined by Rock, the Village People, Cyrus and Liberty University’s Praise Choir, the committee said .

Monday evening, the Village People, Aldean and a “surprise musical guest” will perform at the Liberty Ball, one of three official inauguration balls. Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum are scheduled to perform at the Commander in Chief Ball, and Gavin DeGraw will perform at the Starlight Ball.

Trump Vance’s inaugural committee co-chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler called the events “a celebration of music, unity and patriotism, paving the way for America’s new golden age.”

Earlier in the week, eight-time Grammy winner Underwood was tapped to sing “America The Beautiful” at the swearing-in ceremony, among performers including the Armed Forces Choir and the Glee Club of the United States Naval Academy.

She joins a list of past performers at the main inauguration ceremony that includes Garth Brooks singing “Amazing Grace” at Joe Biden’s inauguration, Beyoncé singing the national anthem at Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2012 and Aretha Franklin singing “My Country Tis of Thee” at Obama’s inauguration. inaugurated in 2008.

The Capitol’s security screening doors open at 5 a.m. ET Monday, and the music will begin around 9:30 a.m., according to the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.

Following the swearing-in, events will include a farewell to former President Biden and then-Vice President Kamala Harris, a departure ceremony from the U.S. Capitol, the President’s signing ceremony, a luncheon JCCIC Congress, a review of the troops by the President and a Presidential Parade down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, where a signing ceremony will take place in the Oval Office.
