Kicker Brandon McManus accused of sexual assault during Jaguars flight: report

Two women filed a lawsuit Friday night against kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars, alleging that McManus sexually assaulted them during a team flight, according to an ESPN report.

The women — named Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II in the lawsuit — filed the motion Friday in Duval County Circuit Civil Court, accusing McManus of opposing them while they served the team on a international flight to London. They also alleged that the Jaguars failed to supervise McManus and create a safe environment for personnel aboard the flight, according to the report.

The women are seeking more than $1 million and have demanded a jury trial, according to the ESPN report.

An online transcript of the trial was not available on the Duval County Circuit Civil Court website as of 4 p.m. ET Monday.

Jacksonville did not re-sign McManus this offseason, and he signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Washington Commanders in March.

The Jaguars declined to comment when contacted by Athleticism. A spokesman for the commanders said the team became aware of the lawsuit earlier Monday.

“We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are investigating the matter,” the spokesperson said in a statement. Athleticism. “We have been in communication with the League office and Brandon representation, and will reserve further comment at this time.”

A message left with McManus’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, was not immediately returned.

Jacksonville played back-to-back games in London during the 2023 season. The team hosted the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium on October 1 before facing the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 8.

The two women worked as flight attendants on the Jaguars’ Sept. 28, 2023, charter flight and alleged that McManus handed out $100 bills to encourage flight attendants to drink and dance for him, according to the report. ESPN.

Jane Doe I alleged that McManus attempted to kiss her while she was seated during the turbulence and that he rubbed against her twice while she was serving meals. Jane Doe II alleged in the lawsuit that McManus objected to her while she was serving the second meal aboard the flight. Jane Doe II remained in the second floor of the plane to avoid McManus during the team’s flight from London to Jacksonville on Oct. 8, according to the ESPN report.

McManus, 32, spent one season with the Jaguars after the Denver Broncos released him after nine seasons. He made 30 of 37 field goal attempts and all 35 of his extra point attempts last season.
