Big Hollywood stars are supporting Kevin Spacey in his fight to get his career back.
Sharon Stone and Liam Neeson defend Spacey amid the premiere of Channel 4’s British documentary “Spacey Unmasked” and detailed allegations of sexual assault made against the two-time Oscar winner. Both men made statements to British newspaper The Telegraph in support of Spacey.
“I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work. He’s a genius. He’s so stylish and fun, generous to the extreme and knows more about our business than most of us ever will,” said Stone told the Telegraph, adding that it’s “terrible” that former aspiring actors “blame him for not being able to reconcile for using him.”

He posted on that the channel did not give him enough time to respond to allegations “dating back 48 years” and did not provide him “enough details to investigate these matters”.
“Channel 4 declined on the basis that it believes that requesting a seven-day response to new, anonymized, non-specific allegations is a ‘fair opportunity’ for me to refute all allegations against me,” Spacey said. adding that he “will not stand idly by and be attacked by a dying network’s one-sided ‘documentary’ about me in its desperate bid for a ratings.”

“I’m extremely happy that my friends came to my defense last day, but frankly, they’ve been defending me for a long, long time,” he said.
“I believe this is starting to move in a much more positive direction,” he told Cuomo. “And I think I’m trying to show that I’ve listened, I’ve learned, I’ve got the memo, I’m not going to behave in a way, going forward, that’s questionable. And that J “I’ve tried to spend the last seven years asking a lot of questions and listening, having conversations with people who I thought I should make amends to.”
He added: “At some point I just want to get back to work.”
Having been the subject of several cases in the US and UK in recent years, Spacey said: “I have to work very hard to rebuild the trust that some may have lost in me. every experience of an environment that I find myself in, that I have, in fact listened to, that I am ready to move forward, that I am.”

Kevin Spacey: The pendulum has swung “in the direction of injustice” since #MeToo
During the interview, Spacey also shared his thoughts on the #MeToo movement, which began in October 2017.
“I think we need to be careful and look back and say, look, there were some extremely important and valuable things and impact that happened with the Me Too movement,” he told Cuomo. “However, as that kind of pendulum swings from one side to the other, as you know, I think it goes very, very far in the direction of injustice and not allowing people – and I’m not just talking about myself, but a lot of people.”
He acknowledged that Cuomo himself faced an allegation of sexual misconduct in 2021.
He added: “We also have to be careful that the pendulum doesn’t swing too far the other way, even if I – and many other people – think it’s going in the right direction, because we were aware that the Me Too movement was important and appreciated.
Spacey said he took responsibility for some of his actions while maintaining his innocence over allegations of “something I didn’t do.”
“I accept my responsibility; I think it’s extremely important,” he said. “I won’t be responsible for things that I didn’t do or that were exaggerated or greatly altered. But I absolutely believe that my role in all of this was my role.”
