Spoiler alert: This message contains spoilers of “About H. Night”, episode 5, season 16 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, streaming on Peacock on April 7.
Sunday evening, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, viewers finally saw an event that had been predicted by blogs long before March 9, when season 16 of Bravo Show was created. In this incident, the longtime star of “Atlanta”, Kenya Moore, has put himself in difficulty – displaying ostentatious and maliciously explicit images of Castmate Brit Eady on poster planks on the camera – which can spell Doom for her which appears again in the series. It certainly ended his season early.
During the episode, entitled “About last night”, Moore – who joined the show in his fifth season – organized a big opening party in Kenya Moore Hair Spa, his new store. The member of the Recruit Eady distribution, who had started a quarrel with Moore earlier in the season, arrived with a peace offer, a bouquet of flowers with a card. Before the party, Eady had expressed its contrition to the other members of the distribution on its previous actions towards Moore. When Moore rejected Eady’s apology, Eady left, after which Moore spoke to detonate Eady for trying to use it for a “moment”, saying: “I will pay you dust.”
Then, Moore unveiled a poster board – graceful of an investigator, she said – with “Who is this HO?” Written at the top, below the blurred images of Eady. She then brandished another poster table, which was – from what the women said, an image of Eady making oral sex. The other women reacted with horror, saying that Moore had gone “too far”, which Moore challenged. Apart from the spa, Porsha Williams, who has known Moore for years, said to the producers: “I just want to take off my microphone. You can just act as if I was never at this event.” Addressing Moore, the veteran, Cynthia Bailey – in the role of “friend” this season – clearly expressed her disappointment: “I get to know Brit, but I really know you. I really hate that you do it in this way. I think you are bigger than that, and I think you are better than that.”
At the end of the episode, a Chryon read: “Based on the behavior of Kenya, the decision was made to stop filming with her this season.”
In practical terms, Bravo’s cup links with Moore meant that his presence in season 16 was radically reduced. There were no solo scenes with her in the five episodes in which she appeared, the cameras did not go to her house and she did no denominational interview, because these are filmed later in the season and after her end. There were also no Moore portraits of season 16 on the Bravo Press site.
Moore’s actions in “About last night” cost him his work, at least for the moment. She took revenge on Eady, who – apparently unexpectedly – had chosen a fight with Moore by joining the show. After the quarrel intensified, at the end of the March 30 episode, Eady seemed to threaten Moore after a group dinner, saying, among others, “I did not play them, I had whips, pistols, all” – statements that the microphone has captured. While Moore left the event with Castmate Williams, viewers heard her say in the car: “She spoke of firearms, she spoke:” I always have my pistol “- this girl is a problem. She must go there, she must go for real, for real. Please let her do something for me, so she can go! ”
Bravo viewers who follow the news of “Real Housewives” have known for months what has led to Moore’s eviction. In June of last year, when reports began to flee what happened at the Hair’s Hair SPA – characterized as a “revenge porn incident” which led to its suspension – Moore defended on Twitter, writing on June 8, 2024: “I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or anyone. Sources close to Moore told People magazine that “she was concerned about her safety”. At the end of the month, Moore left the show, which TMZ declared by a mutual agreement with Bravo.
Then in November, in the program “Tamron Hall”, Moore sought to explain what had happened, saying that she “did not feel protected” by the producers and that she had the impression of having treated her fears as if she were “a black Karen”. Moore said that she had started to do “research” on Eady and found explicit material to perform a sexual act. “I said,” Ok, if no one else goes for me and protect myself, I’m going to protect myself, and I will tell everyone what I discovered – it’s a receipt. “” She said that she knew that Bravo died out nudity, because “it was explicit.”
When Hall told Moore that she was surprised by “the level of aggression” of the law, Moore said: “The decline is still 50/50. If I could start again, I think the photos were very unpleasant and I raised the situation. ” She then apologized, in a way, but did not mention Eady. “I’m sorry for what I did-I didn’t have to take it so far,” she said. “But when I felt threatened, I never had a child and I am in a situation like this before.” (Moore became suffocated as she mentioned about her 6-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.) “This is why I degenerated it to the point where I protected not only myself, but my child.”
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” did half a half-constructor after its 15th dull season in 2023. Finally, after examining its options, Bravo announced the return of Williams favorable to fans, who was then joined by the former members of the Moore distribution, Drew Sidora and Shamea Morton (who was walked by the “friend” status. Eady, Angela Oakley and Kelli Ferrell.
Moore, a former Miss USA winner, joined “The Real Housewives” in 2012. During her years on the show, she became known as a shadow queen who loved Twirl (her signature movement and her slogan). However, Moore was also willing to search his pain in the camera, whether during his attempts to forge a relationship with the mother who had rejected her as a child or during her tumultuous and in short marriage with (and endless divorce) Marc Daly, with whom she had Brooklyn. She turned out to be a convincing figure – if the division -, and will certainly continue to have her champions.
After Moore left season 16, Phaedra Parks – who was on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for the seasons 3-9 – was brought back to the show. Parks had been dismissed after season 9 because she spread a rumor, then repeated in front of the camera by Williams, that their colleague Castmate Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker had planned to drug and assault sexually Williams. If redemption and future employment are possible after that, there may be a road back to “real housewives” for Moore after all.
