Kenny Chesney speaks out after death of woman at concert


Kenny Chesney mourns the loss of a fan following an incident at his recent show.

The country music star, 54, said he was heartbroken after learning a woman had died from an escalator at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver near the end of his July 30 concert .

“I was devastated to learn of someone’s loss after our show,” Chesney said. The Denver post July 31. “There was so much joy, so much heart coming from the people of Denver last night – and to hear that is heartbreaking. Life is precious. Sharing music brings us closer together and this love we share makes us so much more.”

He added, “For the lady who came to share this love, there are no words. For the loss of her friends and family, I grieve with them and for them.”
