Kendrick Lamar was flanked dozens of dancers, thousands of football fans and at least a Hollywood A-List star (with many other stands).
However, none of this seemed important that, because, really, the best course to enjoy the part-time show of the Super Bowl 2025 was to keep the accent on Kendrick Lamar 100%.
OK, maybe more like 95% – because the appearance by the guest by the one and only SZA was also quite special.
However, it is difficult to remember another Super Bowl show at the half-time in the recent past if only one person had dominated our attention as Kendrick Lamar did during this break between the Eagles of Philadelphia and the match in chief of Kansas City at the Superdome Caesars in the big city of New Orleans.
Often, it is exactly the opposite, because the performance of the star is drowned by all the bells and the whistles and that people speak of all the theatrical effects with a large budget exposed.
However, the King of Hip -Hop did not need all this, because it went up in front of a company house – and the most general televised public of the year – and just started to make her way through a jewel After the other.
With the Eagles Up (roughly) 487 to 0 on the Chiefs at halftime, the Lamar set opened with Samuel Jackson, who was dressed in any patriotic costume and was called -Wait – “Uncle Sam.”
Then, Lamar appeared and started running through “Sequack Up” and other issues of “GNX” this year – which could be the biggest hip -hop album of decades so far – as well as other figures from its catalog.
The main propeller was a classic GNX – the pride of the Buick road machine which inspired the name of the rapper’s last feature film. The native of Compton struck while standing on his hood, before jumping to mix him with his dancers, dressed in red, white and blue and – at some point – imitated the shape and design of the American flag.
There were back and forth with “Uncle Sam” Jackson – who, in the role he played, chastised Lamar’s performance as “too noisy, too reckless, too ghetto” – but his participation added very little.
At the other end of the spectrum, SZA (one of the most beautiful voices of all modern R&B) who joined Lamar for fast towers through two of their collaborations – “Luther” by “GNX” and “All the stars “” Black Panther “Film Soundtrack.
Of course, everyone was waiting to see how Lamar would manage “not like us”, the world of global dissection which erases rapper Drake, in a way that many thought, would not go well with a global family audience. The answer was that he managed it carefully, removing the charge of the “pedophiles” of the words – although, surely, that did not prevent millions of fans from finishing the words of the way they were Originally written.

In all, it was another massive triumph for Lamar, which has just left a very impressive Grammy scan on weekends before – while “Not like” won two of the general categories of “Big Four ”(song of the year, record of the year) as well as the best rap song, the best rap performance and the best video clip.
