Kelly Oubre’s car crash this week was reportedly investigated by the Philadelphia Police Department’s internal affairs division after he received no punishment for allegedly crashing his Lamborghini on another driver.

After the Sixers’ Game 2 loss to the Knicks in the NBA playoffs, Oubre allegedly ran a red light around 1:45 a.m. before crashing his purple vehicle into a Hyundai Elantra, causing both vehicles to be towed .

And although Oubre was not ticketed for the accident and was able to appear in Game 3, the PPD has now told TMZ Sports that an internal investigation into the accident is underway.

According to the outlet, which cites a police source, Oubre did not take a breathalyzer or blood test after the accident, and some within the PPD wonder if he received special treatment.

There is apparently no evidence to suggest that Oubre was driving impaired.

He has exceeded $65 million in earnings throughout his career.

The wing scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Sixers won Game 3, 125-114.

However, he said after the game that he would “probably” have to hire a personal driver.

He missed 11 games after this incident.
