The Eagles are not entering the week of practice with the intention of changing their offensive approach due to quarterback Jalen Hurts’ left knee.
Hurts had his knee checked during their divisional round win over the Rams, but didn’t miss a single offensive moment before returning to the game. There hasn’t been much news on his condition and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore said the team won’t make many changes to its plans unless Hurts’ condition forces its hand.
“Same game plan formula,” Moore said, via a team transcript. “Like any player on our team, if you need to make adjustments throughout the weeks or games, you do it. But a very similar plan.
Moore explained what might cause the team to adjust its course of action.
“These things are always going to rely on the doctor and the player,” Moore said. “These guys follow their process, and they just communicate it to the coaching staff. So lots of conversations throughout the week. Hey, it’s mid to late January. There are a lot of guys who are banged up. This isn’t just about Jalen. There are lots of guys who are going through things. This is how these weeks go.
Wednesday will mark the Eagles’ first practice of the week and their injury report will show if the knee is impacting Hurts’ participation.
