Keanu Reeves Has the Best Response to Alexandra Grant Marriage Rumors

Keanu Reeves has been lucky when it comes to his love life.

So much so that he and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant even sparked marriage rumors last month, although she was quick to clarify on social media that the couple had yet to tie the knot. However, the Matrix The star admitted the speculation didn’t bother him too much.

“Well, it wasn’t the first time,” Keanu joked in an exclusive interview with E! News on October 13 at the premiere of his new film in New York Chance. “We’ve been dating for a long time.”

The 61-year-old also praised Alexandra, who he started dating in 2018, for the Instagram post she shared to quell the rumors.

“Marriage is a beautiful thing,” he continued. “People sent a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra just did a wonderful job. Like, ‘Thank you, but here’s the reality.'”

Indeed, the visual artist had a lot of fun when let the world know that she and John Wick the actor had not in fact married.

“This is a real photo,” Alexandra, 52, wrote. Instagram On September 24, alongside a photo of the couple kissing during an art installation. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… just a kiss!”

She continued, “I’m sharing it here to thank everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is a must these days, but it’s always fake news, so be careful! So here’s some real happiness!”

Although Keanu and Alexandra didn’t get married, their relationship is stronger than ever. After all, they’ve recently shared a series of fun date nights, including the premiere of Chance-theatrical release on October 17-as well as the opening night of Jamie Lloydthe Broadway production of Waiting for Godot On September 28, where they went out smiling on the red carpet.

And, earlier this month, Alexandra celebrated his birthday with a heartwarming message.

“Thank you everyone for sending sweet wishes for Keanu’s birthday yesterday…he was well celebrated!” she wrote about Instagram On September 3, next to a photo of a heart-shaped cake with his name on it. “To Keanu – who saw this message as a draft! – I am so grateful for your love and partnership.
