Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau thought they were going to keep their romance a secret, but some ink on their arms gave them away.
The 40-year-old pop star and the 53-year-old former Canadian prime minister were spotted on a yacht adventure off the coast of Santa Barbara, California this week. Sunday mail posted snapshots of the duo in the middle of a steamy make-out session. They were aboard Perry’s yacht, the Caravelle – she wore a sleek black ensemble and Trudeau was shirtless in jeans.

An eyewitness from a whale-watching boat caught the duo in an embrace, realizing who they were looking at as soon as she saw Trudeau’s tattoo.
“She parked her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, and then they started kissing. I didn’t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau,” they shared with the British outlet.
The ink on Trudeau’s left arm is a combination of two tattoos, which he discussed on Twitter in March 2012. “My tattoo is of planet Earth inside a Haida raven. The globe I got when I was 23; the Robert Davidson raven for my 40th birthday,” he wrote on X. Trudeau’s father, Pierre, was made an honorary member of the Haida tribe in 1976 during his mandate as prime minister, according to the BBC.
The yacht sighting also officially confirmed Perry and Trudeau’s unlikely romance. They were first spotted together by TMZ in late July, enjoying a date in Montreal. Two days later, on July 30, he went to Perry’s Lifetime visit show with his daughter, Ella-Grace.
In August, sources downplayed the flirting People. “They had a casual first date to get to know each other. And while they have common interests and lots to talk about, dating just isn’t on his radar,” a source close to Perry explained. “She has remained in contact with Justin, but there are currently no plans for another meeting.”
But Us every week‘s sources contradicted that claim by saying they are together, but “decided to be a lot more private about it.” Now fans know that Perry and Trudeau are definitely an item in this very hot and heavy stage of a relationship.
