Kate Middleton’s cancer revelation rushed out to get ahead of possible leak: report

Kate Middleton was forced to reveal the news of her cancer diagnosis before a possible leak about her condition was published, according to a new report.

His announcement was rushed by Kensington Palace after the royal family was contacted about his condition in anticipation of the news, the Daily Mail reported.

The Princess of Wales announced that she had been diagnosed with an unspecified cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy in a video message on March 22.

But the clip was reportedly hastily released so Middleton could reveal her health problem to the public herself rather than have it dictated by the media, a “well-placed” source said in the publication’s Ephraim Hardcastle column.

It’s unclear where the leak came from, according to the report.

Middleton, 42, went public with her diagnosis after social media became a minefield of conspiracy theories and rumors about the royal amid her absence from the public eye.

The princess was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing major abdominal surgery in January and was advised to start “preventative” chemotherapy. She said the diagnosis came as a “huge shock”.

It was previously speculated that Middleton waited three months to reveal her health issues, for the sake of her children.

Prince George, 10; Princess Charlotte, 8 years old; and Prince Louis, 5, was at school until the end of term for the Easter holidays, when their mother announced the sad news.

It was thought that she wanted to wait until her children’s studies stopped so as not to disrupt their learning.

“As you can imagine, this took a while. It took me a while to recover from major surgery to begin my treatment,” Middleton said in her heartfelt speech announcing her condition.

“But, more importantly, it took us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that worked for them, and to reassure them that I would be okay.

Middleton is not expected to return to her official duties at the palace until she receives clearance from a doctor.

King Charles III is also absent from public duties as he is also undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer.
