Happy 6th birthday, Prince Louis!
Kate Middleton and Prince William honored their youngest child’s birthday on Tuesday with a new photo of their beaming son lying on a picnic blanket in the grass.
“Happy 6th birthday, Prince Louis! 🎂 Thank you for all the well wishes today,” the royal couple captioned the photo, noting that the Princess of Wales took the photo herself.
The celebratory snaps are the first photos shared of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children since their edited Mother’s Day photo went viral last month.
Louis appeared in the March social media upload, along with his siblings Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 8.
Middleton, 42, sat with her smiling kids around her — and fans were quick to point out evidence of Photoshop, from a mismatched zipper to a blurred hand.
In a later statement, Middleton apologized and admitted that she “occasionally experiments with editing.”
The photo scandal came amid Middleton’s absence from the public eye due to a mysterious abdominal operation.
She only got tongues wagging when she stepped out with William, 41, at a farmers’ market and sparked double body speculation.
Middleton set the record straight on March 22 in a video about her cancer diagnosis and treatment.

She noted that by stepping away from the spotlight, she took “the time to explain” her situation to her children in an “appropriate” way.
Middleton said: “As I told them, I am doing well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal my mind, body and spirit.”

While Middleton has remained out of the public eye since, William has been photographed at several engagements in recent weeks.
