Kate Middleton does not attend Trooping the Color rehearsal

After stepping back from royal duties earlier this year while undergoing chemotherapy, Kate Middleton has yet to make an official royal appearance in 2024. Although some royal experts wondered if she would be able to attend the traditional parade of colors ceremony, this now seems less likely. probably since the palace confirmed that the princess would not attend the rehearsal of the event.

The Princess of Wales will not be present at the traditional Colonel’s Review on June 8, which serves as a rehearsal for the main event. His usual role as inspection officer will fall to Lieutenant General James Bucknall, KCB, CBE, former commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps. Middleton’s name was removed from Kensington Palace’s website over the event in March.

This news from the palace follows reports that Middleton had been out shopping alone and with her family. Royal journalist Katie Nicholl also recently reported that Middleton had “turned a corner” with her treatment.

There is still speculation among royal fans and experts as to whether Middleton will be present at the main event, which is scheduled to take place on June 15.

Royal expert Gareth Russell previously explained to Us every week that while Middleton plans to attend the event, “that could change at any time.”

Last year, Middleton attended the ceremony alongside her family, wearing a striking green coat dress by designer Andrew GN, an apparent nod to her colonel in the Irish Guards.
