Kate Beckinsale attends her first event since hospitalization

After her extended stay in the hospital for an undisclosed health issue, Kate Beckinsale is back on the red carpet, looking (and hopefully feeling) better than ever.

On Thursday, the actress attended the inaugural King’s Trust gala in New York, her first public event in more than two months. To make up for lost time, Beckinsale went all out style-wise, wearing a sheer white organza dress with a one-shoulder silhouette, a side cutout that spanned half of her torso and a thigh-high slit, which revealed a pair of immaculate dresses. white platform heels underneath. At the event, Beckinsale didn’t directly address her health, but admitted that the past few months have been difficult while chatting with People. “It’s been a tough year,” she said. “Because my parents have both been sick and my cat… it’s been a lot of things. That’s why it’s nice to come and see friends and have a little perspective. All the world’s had a bit of a tough year, I think.”

The last time Beckinsale made an appearance on the red carpet was at Netflix’s 2024 SAG Awards celebration in Los Angeles in February. The following month, she sparked concerns about her health by sharing a slideshow of since-deleted photos from a hospital bed, with tears in her eyes.
